CHINESE GEVAAR IS HERE I say, comrades, the Chinese gevaar (I.e. Afrikaans for threat) is here! But are we Namibians aware about it? I seriously doubt it. You see, since the early sixties when I was still an infant, the Americans and the Russians have been engaged in a fierce geostrategic rivalry each side seeking to control as much as possible this world for their own benefit. They did so by various covert and overt means, including the use of brutal military force. I use the Americans in Indo Chinese peninsula, with Vietnam, as a living example. The Russians, then called the Soviets, tried their best in Afghanistan. However, it was not always throught overt military might. They also used other means, such as winning the hearts and minds of the targeted nations or areas, such as Africa, for example. Towards that objective, the Americans established educational institutions, such as the African American Institute (a CIA front), which provided scholarships and other educational guidance to future African leaders. The Soviets had a similar arrangement, called African Arab Peoples Solidarity Organization or similar. It is all about the same thing: acquisition and or control of strategic resources but also lebensraum, which German language for living space. These rivalries have become dormant somehow following the collapse of the Soviet empire and end of Cold War in the late 1980s. These rivalries are still underway albeit in a much subtle form. The biggest threat for especially our poverty stricken, divided and highly corrupt African continent is coming from the Chinese. More and ofour children and others are heading for studies in Kitai (China)! Chinese business people and other Chinese neo-settlers are arriving in large numbers in Namibia. They possess large sums of money most of it obviously coming from the Chinese government. They are bribing our leaders to get their way. As a result, they now control strategic minerals here in Namibia, relating to uranium(mention Husab uranium mine) and iron ore mining and what have you. They are also arriving in large numbers in this country, obviously looking for lebensraum. And we, what are we doing to put this gevaar in check? Nothing! Instead, we are fighting each other along ethnic and tribal lines! We hate and fear each ther like hell. We are being made to believe for example that our biggest threat here comes from our own white citizens or even from Europeans or Americans, as such. No, comrades, our biggest gevaar comes from the Chinese. They are clearly our new colonial masters in making. So divided we surely fall under Chinese control. I am NOT now saying that we must take arms and fight individual Chinese people here. Hell no! We must fight them intellectually using our immigration laws among other civilized means!
