CHINESE POWER? I am now convinced where the power has shifted in this country. Two non English speaking Chinese just walked into my house with an armed AP Kenyan guard who announced I had to vacate my house as the railway will go through it. No documents, no maps, nothing. Then they went to my neighbours along the railway and repeated this. I cant believe a non-Kenyan national can just walk into your house and with the help of an armed Kenyan guard tell people to vacate their properties with no time line, no explanation, no discourse whatsoever. They are putting in beacons along the route with no consultation. The Neighborhood Association is meeting as soon as possible, but what action can we take? It is outrageous and incredible how they can take this action in this manner. I told them my house was being gazetted as a national monument. The guard said that does not matter. That is the state of affairs now, we have protected the name of the affected individual for security reasons. He has a title to the land along Mombasa Road
