CHRIST A SABBATHKEEPER In order for it to be a custom for someone Doing something they must have always done It before and this is the same for Jesus when it Says that it was His custom to worship on Sabbath the day especially lit Or illuminated by God’s presence when this world was created. What did Christ actually do on the Sabbath? We see stated That He attended church upon the Sabbath and that He stood up to read From the book of Isaiah where He preached and sowed many a seed. Christ did many works of healing upon the Sabbath day And asked the bigoted Pharisees and Scribes whether or not they Thought it was lawful to do good or evil upon the Sabbath day Which revealed their purpose to find fault in the way He healed people on the Sabbath. This teaches us that we can tend To the sick upon the Sabbath and not break God’s holy day but don’t offend God by possessing an unchristlike attitude on this sacred day. He also declared that the Sabbath was made for mankind and not the other way Round and that as Creator of the Sabbath Christ was also Lord of it. He shows that if we want to really observe this day appropriately we must sit At Jesus’ feet and ask Him to show us how to keep it which He has done By coming to earth and showing how it should be kept and that it was given to everyone
