CHURCH! Whenever the Lord gives you an assignment, all He need you to do is move (act). He does not ask for your strength, nor power, and definitely not your wisdom. All you need is the Spirit of the Lord, and a willingness to trust Him. He said, So will my word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it (Is 55:11). Lets reflect on Zerrubbabel, head of the tribe of Judah at the time of the return from the Babylonian Captivity, prime builder of the Second Temple: Then He said to me, This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel saying, Not by might nor by power, but My Spirit, says the Lord. - Zec 4:6 The fifth vision the Lord gave Zerrubbabel was of a Golden Lampstand and two Olive Trees. The purpose of the vision was to encourage Zerrubbabel to complete the temple rebuilding, to assure him of divine enablement for that venture and the endless supply for the future glory of Messiahs kingdom and temple. The lampstand pictured Israel fully supplied by God to be His light then and in the future. It must be noted that the church has temporarily taken this role presently (Eph 5:8, 9; Rev 1:12, 13, 20), until Israels salvation and restoration to covenant blessing and usefulness (Ro 11:11-24). Neither human might, wealth, or physical stamina would be sufficient to complete the work. Only an abundant supply of the power of the Holy Spirit, pictured in the bowl in Zec 4:2 would enable him to carry out the task. and enable Israel in the Messiahs kingdom to be a light again to the world by the operation of the Spirit (Eze 36:24).
