CLOSURES AND CANCELLATIONS Highway 1 is closed between Headingley and Portage la Prairie due to poor visibility. All other highways in southern Manitoba are reported as at least partially snow covered with poor visibility in sections. Full Manitoba highway conditions. SCHOOL CANCELLATIONS The following schools and school divisions are affected by the extreme cold: Prairie Rose School Division – all schools closed. Brandon School Division – no rural buses running. Providence University College and Seminary, Institute Collegial de St. Pierre, Ecole Heritage Immersion, Ecole St. Malo School, Real Berard and Sainte Agathe schools all closed Monday due to the natural gas outage in south eastern Manitoba.
