Gross; Enda Mc Menamin (4) - 30pts. 3rd Nett; David Moore (20) - 39pts. : CLUB NEWS: Our Donegal League team under the Captaincy of Ivan Stewart got through to to the next round, after playing their 2nd leg at home to the Northwest GC on Monday 2nd June. Ivans team who are the current champions were 3 -2 down from the first leg, but were fancied to win the second leg at home and go through comfortably. However it did not work out quite so simple as 3 of the matches went to the 18th hole, and after a nail-biting finish they eventually won 4-1, but that score does not reflect the closeness of the contest. The winning team on the day was Barry Mc Menamin/Gavin Doherty, Freddie Wilson/Tony Griffin, Lorcan Donnellan/Andy Parkinson, Liam O Neill/James Mc Allister, John Bradley/John Mc Caughan. So our congratulations and well done to all concerned. I would also like to add our congratulations to our Greens Convenor Don Mc Nulty and his staff who have the course in excellent condition and the greens are as good as anywhere in the country, also a word of thanks to all the volunteers workers who have worked so hard and have given of their time and skills to have the clubhouse and its surrounds in beautiful shape.
