**CODE RED**NO HOLD TIME AS RELEASED BY OWNER** South Jersey: Sweet Older Chow-Chow Mix Mag urgently needs placement! Suffering from skin condition and in over-crowded shelter. Contact CCSPCA_Foster@yahoo Cruelty agents recently rescued a very sweet older Chow mix named Mag. She was left in horrible condition, but the agents were delighted with her sweet temperament despite her obvious discomfort. Mag is about 5-8 years old and suffering from mange and a skin infection. She also has had blood in her urine; they are not sure why. Despite being itchy and uncomfortable, she doesnt seem to be feeling poorly. She is fussy about her food, but eating. She has been started on antibiotics and treatment and has been givien a bath to help ease her skin. Mag is always extremely excited when people come to see her in her kennel, greeting them very appropriately with a wagging tail and a happy look on her face. Shes easy to handle and loves getting outside for playtime. Mag ignored a kitten when informally introduced. She has lived with other dogs and when dog tested at the shelter was very appropriate and receptive until the dog jumped on her hind end (where her skin is the worst) and then she gave a strong correction without going overboard. She would probably do fine with older, calmer dogs like herself. She may have been an outside dog and may need some time adjusting to a life in a home- when put into a smaller room, she searches for the doors and paces a bit, but then relaxed and laid down and really enjoyed being petted. Anyone with Chow experience would adore this sweet girl.
