COLLINGS PARK ASSOCIATION There will be a meeting for local residents and invitees on Thursday 4th September at Emmanuel Church Hall, Compton Avenue, Plymouth PL3 5BZ at 7.00pm to focus objections to the City Council’s plan to: • allow 20 houses to be built on the part of Collings Park known as the ‘former tennis courts’ and • allow access to the site via Hartley Avenue and Fortescue Place. AGENDA 1. Welcome and apologies. 2. Nominate Chair and Secretary (for this meeting only). 3. The story so far – short presentations on the history of the site, current usage and latest developments. 4. Impact of proposed development – discuss the impact on local roads, homes, infrastructure and environment. 5. Community use of the site – towards a vision for the future, how we would like to see the site in, say, 3 years time. 6. Action a) re-establish Collings Park Association Committee to organise and fund campaign. b) Local expertise – audit of those with experience of planning, legal, financial, local government, flora and fauna, publishing, media and other useful skills.
