COMMUNION: DECEMBER 13, 2014. “THE LABOR OF FOOLS WEARIES THEM.”—ECCLESIASTES 10:15 (NKJV) Stop. But you say you have not gotten all your presents yet, nor written all your Christmas cards, nor even bought the supplies for your promised Christmas cookies. Do not make your life one continual string of labor. Come sit for a moment as the Lord Jesus invites you to dine with Him. Bring your cup and bread to your quiet place, and greet Him in your hearts. Bring to your table all your fellow cyberchurch saints in travel with you. Join in a moment of fellowship, and thank Jesus for the ultimate gift: His life sacrificed at Calvary’s Hill for you and I. Put Jesus first in this time. Give Him your ‘prime time’. Take the bread and thank Him for the sacrifice of His body on the tree. Thank Him for the tangible gifts He has given you: a home, wealth, health, family, loved ones. Thank Him for the time to offer a silent prayer and praise Him for the wonderful and refreshing gift of silence. Take the cup. Thank Him for His Blood shed, His tears cried of love for us, and the miracle of His Blood washing us clean from our sins and making us free.
