|CONCEPT OF KINGS (5) ...their STRENGTH In the world we find ourselves today, most nations prove their superiority to others by varying factors, one of which is the how sophisticated their instruments of war/mass destruction are. It is not uncommon to hear countries like Iran threatening Israel, North Korea threatening their southern counterpart etc. But mind you, it isnt a battle about the duo alone. When Israel is involved, no doubt the United States would be. It doesnt stop there, the United Kingdom follows suit, France, Canada joins! The chain really is a strong one!Iran knows, fighting Israel isnt fighting just one country, theyll be up against five or so. In the same light, whatever prompts any country to go head-log with Russia, have brought in Syria, Jordan, Iran and their likes into the battle. These countries have an ALLIANCE, and defeating them would mean defeating their alliance. In ancient China operating under feudalism, great militarist schooled in Taoist art of war understood the strategy of cutting out alliances to their targets first before launching an attack on their targets. They know that once their alliances have been cut out, victory becomes a piece of cake. It is not uncommon to see people making their boast in the caliber of PEOPLE THEY KNOW. It is true that who you know doesnt in anyway define who you are but it tells something about you. Studying 1CHRON.12, i realised that King David wasnt the strongest in the Kingdom. In fact in 2Sam3:39 David lamented over the murder of Abner by Joab and Abishai And i am this day weak THOUGH anointed King; and these men, the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me... Yet he surrounded himself with the strong... MEN who were skilled in the bow, using either of their hands, MEN who killed giants, MEN whose faces where like lions... Vs 23 of 1Chron12 has this to say And these are the numbers of the HANDS that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the Kingdom of Saul to him... These men made him STRONG!These men, i believe were physically stronger than David and MAY defeat him in on a One-on-One contest, yet they made him STRONGER! THE STRENGTH OF A KING LIES IN THOSE AROUND HIM. . . Great men focus on building NETWORKS because thats where their NETWORTH lies...! They surround themselves with not just anybody but somebodies. They understand that investment into PROPER RELATIONSHIPS is the cutting edge over others. I must however point out at this point that this concept does not in any way undermine relationships with persons having a lowly background, it rather emphasizes the QUALITY of these persons. Your NETWORK determine how fast you can recover after a bad break, they have a way of imputing inspiration to you, they are like vehicles that carry one to their desired destination, and how fast you get there depends on its STRENGTH and QUALITY. You cant rise above the company you keep.Those we call Great Men of God are not necessarily the most anointed in their ministries- they had HELPERS just like King David! Those who win political positions are not necessarily those with the most effective strategy of campaigning- they had HELPERS! Great authors would appreciate those who proof read their works, the designers, those who constructively criticised their works and others- these were HELPERS! ...and from the concept of the word helper, it connotes one who has an ADVANTAGE in facilitating a course and is willing to offer it FREE. In other words, our NETWORKS must be better than us in some areas. You need to recognize these areas and appreciate it in their lives. If you realise youre the ULTIMATE BEST in your company, boy! youre certainly in the wrong company! SUMMARILY... You cant make it to the top all by yourself. Nobody ever became a self made Millionaire. Nobody fought through life alone. There were always REAL MEN in their lives no matter how small they were... Call them, Appreciate them, send them messages, keep in touch! Dont be like that man watching the President on TV in his one room apartment and boasting to all who cared to listen that the President was a close friend while at the University! Of what good is that information to me or you if it cant change your life...??? Remember, you are a KING. your NETWORKS are your ARMIES. How much you invest in them determines how well theyll stand for you. They are your allies, they wont watch you fall... And again... You are a KING! PA.
