CPF2GPF (Pension) Issue: 20.12.2014 ---------------------------------------------------- A large number of senior DU employees (both teaching and non-teaching) are adversely affected by the grave errors and omissions of the University over the years; and, interestingly, the DU officials are not prepared to take any credible corrective action for reasons yet unknown. It is a settled law that errors and omissions may be rectified at any stage. I wish that someone from the MHRD or the UGC has a close look at the purported Task Force which was constituted by DU to suggest ways and means to implement the Delhi High Courts judgments of 30.04.2014 on pension matter; and which ended up with a strong recommendation to file appeals ignoring the law laid down by the Honble Supreme Court in Union of India vs. SL Verma (2006) referred to by me in my earlier posts. What is even more unfortunate is that (on 14.08.2014) the Executive Council of the DU acted as mere puppet and miserably failed to exercise its own mind. What to expect from such Principals, Deans, Senior Professors and other highly placed officials, who cannot apply their own mind on legal issues and/or muster the courage to speak the truth; and who have prima-facie failed to exercise a wonderful Fundamental Right granted to all Indian citizens under Article 19(1)(a) of the Constitution of India? Now, the matter will be listed before the Honble Delhi High Court on 29.01.2015......! The issue may still be resolved amicably by appropriate administrative action by MHRD/UGC/DU keeping in view the larger interest of the community............!!
