CT Fitathlon Challenge Obstacle Line-up 1. Calisthenics - Squats, pushups, crunches & Squat Thrust a. Newbies - 20 of each b. Beginners - 30 of each c. Challengers - 40 of each d. Competitors - 50 of each 2. Short run- What no lunges?! We decided to mix it up! 3. Sand Bag Carry –Carry a 35lb bag for a distance. 4. Bear Crawl- Check it out online. You will feel it the next day! 5. Lunge lane –Starts on the beach. The distance varies by level. Guaranteed to make your legs burn. Take a rest if needed but you can only lunge - no walking. Competitors youre going over a ¼ mile with your hands behind your head. 5. Tire Flip - 200lb+ tires. You have to flip it 4-10 times depending on your level. The tires are different sizes but pretty much weigh the same amount. You can do it solo or with help. It doesnt matter unless youre a competitor. Competitors must flip the tires solo. 6. Wheel Barrel Push - Its sorta looks like a wheel barrel. Its our version, loaded with 90lbs. and a flat tire. Push it through grass for the designated distance and turn around and come back. 7. Long Run - Your legs will be so tired itll feel like the last mile of a marathon. 8. Over and Unders- 90 long and annoying over and unders, but don’t worry you will feel it! 9. Transverse Wall -We gotta see you move in different planes. Hope youve tried rock climbing. Climb from one side to the other. Crawl through some tunnels and repeat. Competitors if you fall off you must go back to the beginning. 10. Speed and Agility Run- High Knees. Add some cones, hurdle. Lets see how mobile and agile you are. 11. Your hams and glutes will be on fire. 13. Walls - The short ones - 5 feet. There will be help for everyone but the competitors. Everyone has 4 to climb in a row. 14. Get ready for a run. 15. Wall Climb - Big walls. 8 ft high. No worries you have rope to help you. You gotta do it four times. 16. Cargo Net - Balance, core and upper body strength will be on display in this obstacle. Its a simple 8 foot climb across the net. No rolling! 17. Ropes - 40ft, 2inches. Slam it as hard and as fast as you can for the allotted time (30 - 60 secs.) Competitors if you bonk you get a 15 or 30 sec. penalty. 18. Monkey Bars - Yup, time for some upper body work. Do your best. Its probably been a while. Competitors must go all the way through touching each bar. 19. Sprint to the finish line - Lets see whats left in the tank. All funds from this event are going to the MCC Veterans Education Fund.
