CVS Pharmacy Plans Velmeir Companies has submitted plans to construct a new CVS Pharmacy at the northeast corner of 15th & Vermillion Street. The project involves the removal of five homes and three existing businesses including Hastings Gift Garden and Floral, Great Clips, and All Valley Vacuum. All affected property owners have consented to the project; the City of Hastings is not involved in the purchase or condemnation of property. A public hearing will be held before the Planning Commission on August 26, 2013 at 7:00pm in the City Council Chambers. The City will consider requests to amend the comprehensive plan, rezoning, preliminary and final plat, and site plan approval.
