Caden Update: I am so thrilled to be able to share a truly happy moment. Uber-thanks to whoever donated the timothy hay cubes to Caden!! I buried one halfway in CareFresh today to make sure that he didnt hurt himself on it and, I have to say, I think that is the happiest that I have ever seen Caden! Oh my word, he loves his little square hay! I think that the fact that it is made out hay makes it familiar enough not to be feared but because it is a cube it is fun and different. I have never seen Caden play before, mainly because he is too fearful to do so. But that cube was just friendly enough for him to take the risk. He was nibbling it, knocking it over, turning it over with his nose. Such a happy boy! So, since I also have Cadens equally-fearful friend Burton here, I decided to see if he could also benefit from these wonderful new cubes of fun. It worked! Burton also loves his cube! Having just gotten here yesterday, Burton has been hiding in a tunnel continuously, but he was lured out long enough to drag his cube back inside and is happily munching away inside. (And because he is part of a family, Caden willingly shared cubes with all of our other guys here too.) Double success for our fearful duo today! Thank you to our amazing donors!
