California State / National Gold Panning Championships Schedule: September 13-14, 2014 The State Championship is an open championship and anyone may compete to win, regardless of their nationality and place of residence. The National Championship is the requirement for competition in the World Championships, and is confined to citizens of the United States only. State Championship categories: Mens Skilled - 16 years and older. Womens Skilled - 16 years and older Veterans - 60 years and older, Men and Women combined event Beginners - 16 years and older, never competed in any competition Juniors - 15 years and younger Teams - 3 person teams. No age limit. Open - Any age for any person. Classic - Any age for any person. National Championship categories: Mens Skilled (top 6 from State compete) Womens Skilled Veterans Open Classic Teams Saturday September 13th 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM Preliminaries for all events. 12:00 to 12:45 PM Closed for lunch 12:45 PM - 3:30 PM Preliminaries for all events.
