Calvin Pipher says this: Happy New Year to Bud and all the Browns Backers. I dont mean to bring everybody down but Ive got to talk about our team and more importantly the coaching staff..... Offense, Defense and Special Teams were worse than last year and unlike last year I dont feel we are going in the right direction. Sure we won 3 games but lost 6 of 7 and it would have been 7 straight had the Falcons former coach not made one of the biggest coaching mistakes of the year.... Last year, we had the 9th ranked defense and the 17th ranked offense. This year with better personnel, we werent as highly ranked. If it werent for the NFC south we would have been 4-12. This coach is not a head coach in any sense of the word. And hears the rub. Chud, Horton and Turner were better coaches than those who replaced them. We have 2 first-round draft choices but as we saw with Manziel and everybody that knows football knew this was a smaller version of couch, quinn, mc coy and weiden. i have hopes for Gilbert and i really hope we keep gordon and cameron but i hear how they say the TE isnt important in shanahans offense. shanahans offense????? good young running backs wasted on slow developing sweeps???.. why he hasnt been fired is beyond me. and the real problem is we should fire the coaching staff but then we are learning another new system. that would be 4 in 5 years? if we have to keep these guys so haslem wont be laughed at, as if thats not going to happen, do we make some trades with jacksonville so we can get another number 1 for the 2016 draft? hehe.. becaiuse this is a disaster and i see it getting darker before seeing real light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. GO BROWNS.
