Came across this post from Mr. C. J. Vincent in district 2... Misled Public March 13, 2014 at 9:41pm I am amazed at the fact that none of the candidates running for city council; or mayor for that fact, are talking about the $250,000 of uncollected water bills the water department failed to collect by not following the ordinances. No one is talking about the many, many, many illegal ordinances which are on the books. No one is talking about the fact that Sulphurs City Administration is not paying its litigation debts. No one is investigating the illegal meeting between Dru Ellender, Randy Farve, and Stuart Moss that the sunshine laws of the State of Louisiana forbids. No one is talking about a candidate for city council that works for a company that holds an abundance of contracts with the City. No one is talking about a city attorney violating the Home Rule Charter by not having a law practice in the City of Sulphur. No one is talking about the fact that nearly all of the ordinances of the City are illegal as they violate the Home Rule Charter in that they all contain more than one subject in the title to the ordinance and the wording of the ordinance. No one is talking about a special recreational occupational license being issued to one single individual so she could teach swimming lessons at her home while the rest of the residences on the street suffered due to traffic congestation. No one is talking about the current members of this cities administration who attempted to stuff a speed camera van down our throats without allowing the citizens the opportunity to vote on the matter - until I circulated a petition to stop them. No one is talking about a candidate for city council who was public works director for many years; but failed to solve the water infrastructure problems. Instead; they want to talk about sewage; not water, in a ditch. They want to talk about flouride in water. They want to talk about the progress the city is making by duplicating the efforts of the City of Lake Charles to beautify Lake Charles. Reminds me of high school and the childish games the popular kids played if a person was not in the click. Carol J. CJ Vincen
