By 2012 almost 100,000 children In Ireland were living in consistent poverty. They have slashed payments for children living in lone-parent families. Children with special needs and with life-threatening conditions have been deprived of services, supports and medical cards. Children living in the State-created ghetto of Direct Provision are allocated €9.60 per week. Funding for schools - cut. Youth programmes - cut. Child benefit - cut.
