Stage Manager for a travelling production Nobulali Productions is looking for a competent Stage Manager for a touring production. Availability: From July 15th to August 15th 2014. REQUIREMENTS and COMPETENCIES: Must have previous stage manager experience Must be at least 21 years old Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive long distances with carriage. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills Must have a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications Must have a comprehensive understanding of touring show and event production Must understand the operation of a variety of theatrical stage equipment Must be able to lift, push and pull set and stage properties Must be available to work varying shifts or hours based on travel hours DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Production Technology Skills preferred At least 2 years travelling production experience preferred PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Create and implement standard operating procedures for assigned show area - Monitor assigned show to ensure design intents are maintained; follow-up on issues that need to be resolved in order to return the production to its intended design - Manager shows petty cash and report accordingly - Keep documentation current as design changes are made - Ensure that the assigned production is functional, maintainable, and safe - Supervise Theatrical crews, maintain project lists, and coordinate production management processes - Work alongside costuming team to ensure quality and standards of costumes - Lead re-install of existing shows from season to season and supervise the move-in to the performance spaces, when the set and sound are installed, and the move-out, when all the equipment is removed - Ensure the companys welfare and maintaining a good working knowledge of all relevant health and safety, legislation and good working practice CLOSING DATE: July 9th, 2014 with interviews on July 12th, 2014 in Johannesburg.
