Can we strike a balance between development and environment? I believe that should be the goal. On one hand, we all want to enjoy prosperity, to create jobs for our people, to make them productive and useful to the society, to give them the utmost human development levels. On the other hand, we want to protect the environment that is the source of all the knowledge and wealth that we have created. Some people would say that development is detrimental to the environment. Others would say that only if we are rich can we think of cleaner environment and sustainable lifestyles. There has to be balance. I am a learner willing to absorb things from both sides, and balancing them.
