Can you help Sugar Bear? Sugar Bear is a 5 yr old lab mix brought to us by her owner. She has a serious ear hematoma. Ear or aural hematomas are fluid-filled pockets on the inside of the earflap.There are tiny blood vessels in the pinna or the floppy part of your pets ears.When something causes these little vessels to rupture, they bleed under the skin and form a fluid-filled pocket.Ear hematomas are most commonly seen in floppy-eared dogs, like Sugar Bear. She needs to have surgery to remove this as it can burst and block her ear cavity. Her owner cannot afford the entire surgery cost on her own as she is a single mother of 4, on limited income, social security and food stamps. She simply does not have the full cost at this moment but Sugar Bear is in pain, her ear is hot and irritated and the only other option to end her suffering would be putting her to sleep. But with the option of surgery, there is no reason to end her young life now as Sugar Bear has many years ahead with her 4 other human siblings! Can you help?
