Can you help? We are investigating the theft of bank cards which have subsequently been used fraudulently to withdraw money and purchase items. The theft happened on Wednesday 29th October in the car park of Aldi in Cwmbran. After unloading shopping into her car a woman was distracted, it’s believed intentionally, by a man asking for directions as she returned to her car from the trolley bay. The man had a map on the bonnet of his car and spoke in a foreign accent. As she was distracted it’s believed someone then went into her car - a silver BMW -and stole two debit cards from her purse. It’s believed the offenders, a third of which it’s thought was watching her use her card in the store and enter her pin number into the machine, are using a silver Peugeot 206.
