Canadian Mills are seeking the following experience professionals for immediate work placements. These are permanent jobs and candidates must be prepared to relocate to Canada and be available to provide more than 2 years commitment. Work Hours: full time, 40hours/week, overtime at 1.5 times regular wages. ELECTRICIANS Responsibilities and Tasks 1. Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes 2. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools 3. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem 4. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes 5. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system 6. Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components 7. Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records 8. Actively participate in the safety program of IYINISIW 9. Other tasks as related to electrical work as assigned during the course of business Required Qualifications 1. A journey person certificate and 5 years work experience in the trade is required. Completion of secondary school or vocational school or a high school degree with a minimum of 10 years work experience in the trade will also be considered. 2. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals 3. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence 4. Electrician trade certification is considered an asset 5. Interprovincial Red Seal eligibility is required 6.
