Cannabinoids exert a direct anti-proliferative effect on tumors of different origin. They have been shown to be anti-migratory and anti-invasive and inhibit MMPs which in turn degrade the extra-cellular matrix (ECM), thus affecting metastasis of cancer to the distant organs. Also, cannabinoids modulate other major processes in our body like energy metabolism, inflammation, etc. -- This paper sums up the sad state of knowledge of the endocannabinoid system. The year is 2014 and the medical system still does not have enough medical studies about the oldest and safest medicine known to man. Somethings not right, say I. JB
