Captured this tonight. This is what a normal night looks like in our house. It is still so surreal. Erron and I catch each others eyes about every 15 minutes when were with the kids and mentally say, I cant believe this is what were doing. While I dont think our story is officially over, Erron and I wanted to take a minute to thank the many people who helped us survive the last 2+ weeks. These next words in particular are from my usually quiet husband, he felt strongly about communicating his gratitude and wrote this out: To those who have been our Church in this time: We are in awe. I can only hope that in this moment you can feel the embrace of our arms thanking you for your precious prayers, support, gifts, and love for our family. We could have never imagined such a large outpouring of blessings. You have been our firm surface in times of weakness and we truly believe that your prayers have been integral in the miracle of our sons restoration. To our family who provided endless support, tireless love, who cried for us and with us, stayed overnight with Shep so we could rest, and who stood by our side throughout our darkest hours, we thank you . To the friends and that drove through the night, cancelled vacations, sat by our side, cared for our daughter, fed us, took care of our home, encouraged us, cried with us, and prayed tirelessly all hours of the night for Shepherd, we thank you. To the amazing nurses and staff who loved our son as their own, spent hours talking with us, encouraging us, and quickly silencing alarms through the night just to give us a moment of rest, we thank you. To the incredible doctors whos quick thinking and decisive actions, decisions, intuition, and calming presence laid the foundation for our sons healing, we thank you. To the many people who we have never met, or hardly know but you begged God for Shepherds life and rejoiced with us at his recovery, we thank you. We could not ask for a greater army of prayer warriors and we are humbled at the provision which you all continue to give. @eweig
