Cardiff Council announced plans on 30th January to close Cardiff - TopicsExpress

Cardiff Council announced plans on 30th January to close Cardiff Central library for one day a week - to start with - and to close one floor and lease out another two floors, presumably to private companies. Cardiff residents didnt endure months of doing without a library in the centre of town, only for it to briefly open before the Council starts cutting it back and moving other activities in. The library is an incredibly important resource for students who use it for studying, for people to access the internet etc, and weve got to fight to save it. We need a whole library, not half of one. This group have been set up by activists in the campaigning organisation Cardiff Against The Cuts to coordinate a campaign to stop cuts to Cardiff Central library. Please add all your friends, family, colleagues, etc.
