Carla Moreira & Luso Fremont it has been our pleasure for being part of such wonderful council. Carla I want to thank you for teaching my boys our Portuguese culture, traditions, and our folklore dances not just from different Portugal regions but from Azores and Madeira as well. For the past 10 years we have been commuting an hour each way to Luso dance practice, yes it has been challenging at times specially with the boys in school but I cannot see us in any other Youth Council. Youth Council #1 is in a category all by itself. As I read through the LUSO magazine, I read about our Portuguese Culture, Traditions and Heritage but yet when it comes to the Youth Theatrical Program the only youth group that is teaching/showing our kids the Portuguese culture and traditions is Youth Council #1. Carla I hope you continue with our traditions because if you don’t no one else will. You are a great Youth Director, you not only teach our kids our Portuguese folklore but you’re the only youth director that plays duck duck goose with the little munchkins in the middle of the hotel lobby, can’t say that about any other youth director - NEVER CHANGE! Thank You!
