Carlys Law Update - Immediate Call to Action Contact United States Representation It has become very apparent the hold up with Carlys Law study is the Federal Government, specifically the FDA. UAB has done everything in their power to obtain a letter from the FDA telling them(UAB) one of three options. 1) Yes, proceed with the study. 2)No, you cannot proceed with the study or 3) Please make changes to protocol and re-submit to FDA. It is important to note no other agency including the DEA has given UAB this much trouble. The FDA is the problem, UAB is on our side and has done everything to help us to move this as fast as possible. UAB is more than willing to do whatever the FDA tells them to do, but they have to hear from the FDA to know what it is. All the FDA needs to do is send UAB official correspondence giving them an answer as listed above. UAB has been told they will get the letter but it never comes. This has been going on for 75 days. Thats right, your children have been suffering for 75 days while the FDA ignores UAB. I am asking everyone to contact your Federal Reps and the two Senators, Jeff Sessions and Richard Shelby. It is time they step in and get us an answer why the FDA is not responding to UAB. Please let them know the urgency of the matter. Our state has and the people have spoken. There is no reason the FDA is holding this study up because there are other trials going on that have the FDAs approval. This is not a red or blue issue. This is a human issue and we want the best treatment for the people of Albama. The Alabama Legislature has spoken and the Governor concurred and signed it into law. Now it is time the our Federal representation help us. It is time the FDA stops kicking the can down the road. Lives are at stake. This is not a game. Again, please contact your United States Congress Rep along with Senator Jeff Sessions and Senator Richard Shelby. We are the people and they work for us.
