Caroline continues to do well. They are weaning down her vent settings and she is stable. Tomorrow she has a repeat head ultrasound to check on the bleeding in her brain. I admit I am anxious about this. Phillipians 4:6-7 says: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. These are my requests: 1. That she will continue to do well with her feedings and not have any setbacks 2. Lungs continue to mature and get off the ventilator soon 3. Ultrasound tomorrow will show no further damage from the original bleed (or show no damage at all!) 4. Her white blood cell count will return to normal (it remains elevated) 5. We will not accidentally give her any germs from all the sickness around us 6. She will continue to grow stronger and healthier every day! We are so thankful for the good news weve received lately. The first few days were agonizing as we were getting nothing but bad news thrown at us it seemed. But lately our little girl has proved herself a fighter and the despair we felt has been replaced by hope. Of course the fears start to creep in sometimes but we are fighting against them. We really do feel all of the prayers being said for our family. It has been so uplifting. We are leaning on the promises in the scriptures during this difficult time in our lives and our peace comes from above. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
