Cauliflower Steaks with Turmeric: Decreases cellular inflammation! Increase serotonin! Ignite your sense of taste and smell!! 😍 1 head of cauliflower 6 Tbs olive oil 1 Tbs grated fresh ginger or ginger powder 2 cloves of crushed garlic 1 Tbs ground cumin 1 Tbs ground turmeric Dash Cayenne pepper Slice cauliflower into 3/4 inch wedges. In a large skillet, sear each steak wedge in hot but not smoking olive oil just until browned. Combine olive oil, ginger, turmeric, cumin, & cayenne pepper in a metal or glass mixing bowl. Set aside spice marinade. Remove cauliflower from heat when browned and place face down in a large glass baking dish. Drizzle the spice marinade over the cauliflower. Use a basting brush to evenly coat the cauliflower steaks. Bake in oven at 400 F for 10 minutes. Check tenderness and flip steaks. Brush with marinade from baking dish. Bake for an additional 10 minutes. Cauliflower steaks are done when partially translucent and fork-tender. Serve with wild, black japonica, or heirloom lotus rice. Purple cabbage apple cider vinegar slaw is also an excellent complement. Balance the bright yellow with a purple vegetable or rice. Wear an apron!! Turmeric is a natural yellow dye for fabrics!!
