Chamber News Feed: Hunterdon County, NJ: Hunterdon officials are investigating a home invasion and armed robbery in Hampton, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski and New Jersey State Police Washington Station Commander Lt. Pete Cymerman announced yesterday. The armed robbery happened at the Robin Hill Apartment Complex in the borough, Kearns said in a release. According to Kearns, “At approximately 6 a.m. Monday morning, (Sept. 1) three black males armed with a handgun entered an apartment on Mackenzie Road in Hampton Borough. A husband, wife, and two small children were home at the time of the break-in and the husband was assaulted. An undetermined amount of items were stolen from the residence. A fourth male was outside the apartment during the incident. We do not have a description of any of the assailants at this time.” State Troopers from the Washington Station were first on scene. Detectives from the State Police and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating. TheState Police Crime Scene Unit and K-9 Unit also responded.
