Now I will say and join - BOYCOTT SM!!! #1 - SMS consultation with the sectors (only in response to the protests) meant they will only hear. Thats corporate greed. That they cut trees stealthily is deplorable, disrespectful, no ethics at all. #2- DENR and City LGU that gave the permit must be in another case while the case against SM must get to the SC. #3 No cutting of pine trees is a start-up to many envi issues that must be addressed in land use: wanton, massive conversion that the city LGU allows but affects water supply, traffic, waste management; landscape and habitat destruction; destruction of heritage; degraded urban living conditions and so on. Dont the judges, DENR and City LGU know that this is what no tree cutting means? I hope this last message reaches the SC. The court set-up in the Philippines must protect the countrys patrimony by saving the environment against corporate greed. The 1990 earthquake warned all of us well --- decongest Baguio --- that was clear in the BLIST plan, why is that repeatedly being ignored under this same leadership? A giant shopping mall just beside 2 big universities and city high school even --- what citizens are you helping us develop, SM?
