Change has become one of the most abused word in Nigeria at the moment. Every player in the political arena are now agents for change. PDP wants change, APC wants change. Has the meaning of the word become so flexible that it mutates every second to suite the whims of those humming it. What exactly is change in a political context. How is PDP change different APC change. What change do the respective Political party have in mind. Change in what terms are they talking about? I believe it is not enough to sing about change in itself as if it posses some magic ability to transform our nation. They should tell us in concrete terms what sort of change they have in mind for us. We need to know what plans they have for the economic development, industrial development, agricultural development, Power, youth development, infrastructural development, diversification of our economy, liberalization of the petroleum sector etc. We need well articulated plans. Let them debate on real issues and not the campaign of calumny that we now see. What change is Buhari talking about? So far he has said nothing concrete. May be he believe that CHANGE is merely a fanciful cliche that wins election for you if you say it repeatedly enough. As for Jonathan, Is it not appalling that he is still talking about change after about six years in office under the PDP which has been in power for fifteen years. Jonathan and PDP obviously do appreciate the meaning of change. Perhaps we need to change them. CHANGE 2015
