Chapter 3 THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST: The Gospel means the Good News; and it is about the Lord Jesus Christ and his work on the cross. Adam began the world system with Eve his wife; because God commanded him not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil or else they would pay the consequence of DEATH. Gen 2:16-17 But they chose to listen to the voice of the devil and disobey the commandment of the Lord of heaven and earth. Therefore God’s wrath fell on them and he gave them over to death. Gen 3:1-12, 17-19 This wrath of God that fell on Adam and his wife, because that one disobedience, has followed all mankind, their children, till date. Rom 15:12-14 Adam and all his children also died spiritually in sin and became accustomed to evil than good; and Satan from that day enslaved all mankind in the lusts of our flesh; being controlled by him through the lusts and desires of our bodies and thoughts in opposition to the will of God; putting all the worldly system under the wrath of God from the Garden of Eden to this day. Rom 7:21-24; Eph 2:1-3 For this reason before God all people are sinners. And not even the deeds of his law can justify or save us from our sins; because it is inherited in our spirits. Rom 3:9-20, 23 And by his righteous, holy, and just nature and laws, all of us, weighed together on his scale of justice, deserve nothing but death in hell fire forever. Eze 18:4; Rom 6:26 But in the nature of God there is also fullness of mercy. Psalm 78:38; Jer 3:12; Lk 6:36 In his great mercy towards mankind and the world in general, therefore, he has decided not to hold our sins against us but to deliver us from his wrath to come on all people and to reconcile mankind to himself by his Son Jesus Christ. 2Cor 5:19 And for this very reason he did not hold back his own Son but sent him into the world to save it from Satan, sin and hell. John 3:13-17 To accomplish this good purpose God put all our sins on his Son Jesus Christ. Isa 53:6 And he also received the punishment of our sins we deserve for us by unjustly suffering in the hands of sinners for us and by being murdered by them on the cross like a common criminal and by his burial and his resurrection from the dead on the third day. This is the gospel of Christ. Isa 53:3-5; 1Cor 15:1-4
