Charlie and I checked out of the North Country on Friday afternoon, returning tonight. Spent the Columbus Day weekend as quintessential New England tourists--taking in the colors of southern N.H and Vermont which have already left us with bare trees and biding our time for when the snows arrive. The first sight we spotted was at our hotel in Brattleboro, Vt., when this crazy and wonderful van from Maryland pulled in beside us! We will have some more of our visits to some old haunts--literally--in just a few....It was BEAUTIFUL down south.
