For the second consecutive year, Best Western Shelbyville has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor for Business, a Web-based travel company. A release said the awards are made to businesses that are top performers based on quality, guest satisfaction and business performance as derived from customer feedback. Quarterly service scores also are measured by the company. The certificate is awarded to those who rank in the 10 percent worldwide, the release said. Best Western, located at 115 Isaac Shelby Drive, is owned by Brian and Juley Fitzpatrick, and Sharon Calvert and Shanna Harrod are its managers. They were notified in a letter from TripAdvisor CEO Stephen Kaufer. “We are very proud of our accomplishment,” Juley Fitzpatrick said in a note accompanying the announcement. The management team in a statement also said it would “keep the hard work up for many more accomplishments in the near future.” The Fitzpatricks recently renovated the hotel and are planning to add a restaurant. sentinelnews/content/business-briefcase-june-28-2013
