Check out this Eco Printing Workshop -- Starts next week Eco printing is technique for extracting natural dye from plants, soils, mineral-rich rocks, powders and rusted metals and depositing pigments onto textile or paper substrates. This short course will cover several processes for eco printing on papers, techniques for fixing and shifting colours and tips for collecting and selecting dye materials. Included will be a lecture overview on eco printing, hands-on printing sessions and a plant foraging session outdoors. Participants will produce printed papers suitable for a range of art applications including additional print techniques, mixed media and artist books. A kit will be supplied in addition to course fees, $10 payable to the instructor on the first day. Participants will also receive a supply list after registration.
