Chennaiyin FC is delighted to announce the signings of Cameroonian midfielder Eric Djemba Djemba and Haitian forward Jean Maurice Edu. Djemba Djemba is a former Manchester United player and was last plying his trade for Scottish Premiership club St Mirren. The 33-year-old midfielder has represented Cameroon 24 times at senior international level including the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Maurice is a former Paris Saint Germain player and has also featured for Lens and Le Mans in the French top tier. The 28-year-old is currently a member of the Haiti national team and has an excellent record of scoring 10 goals in 15 international appearances. Djemba Djemba spent two seasons at Manchester United and won the FA Cup in 2004. He also played for Aston Villa in the English Premier League besides having stints in Qatar, Denmark, Israel and Serbia.
