Chicago is disrespected with back handed compliments in this video through several angles. Share this video if you are from Chicago and have pride in this city, its history and its culture. Dont matter if you like baseball or not. Cubs fan, Sox fan, Cardinals fan, Packers fan. whatever. His observation that Jordan was good is really amazing, even though he asks right? at the end. This historian also notes that the Bears with all of their history, 1985 was a good team. Although its rough for the Bears now, the Blackhawks are making up for it - like we except the Bears losing. And classic, he believes that fans, not the media, blamed Bartman for 2006. Lastly, he references Comiskey as the Sox old park and that Sox fan goes to their games with their heads down because they have a new modern facility to watch their games. My advice to him is to come to a Cubs game and talk with the lifelong season ticket holders for generation(S!) about not caring. Also, he could come to CHICAGO! and tell my friends, family, neighbors, and kids to their faces that he has no respect for them. Maybe he doesnt know that Wrigley is IN CHICAGO! Maybe he doesnt know that the cubs fan he suggests tourists not respect are also Bear, Bull, and/or Blackhawk fans (who apparently, according to this guy, can be respected) Please do not judge people from Mass based on this. Everyone I have ever met from Mass (a lot), respect MLB, NBA, NFL. They too hate their rivals but respect the games and their teams rivals (culture) because they know without them it would not be as fun nor as sweet when they win. This guys perception is his reality. He obviously views Chicago through the very general media, hence the Jordan, 85 Bears, Bartman references. I am surprised he didnt suggests pizza is good here too. The Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins fans I know would certainly disown him. Sorry for the rant, but if you have read this far you too may have seen the Chicago bashing. Im not as upset about bashing the Cubs as I am about disrespecting MY city and MY people. Being a Cubs fan begins at birth and while there are plenty of bandwagon fans, the hardcores trump them tenfold. In some cases, the fraction of bandwagon cubs fans surpasses some teams hardcores. Point is, we have a lot of hardcore fans, since birth ,whose parents parents parents were hardcores. RESPECT CHICAGO, DONT PATRONIZE US. WE CAN SPOT A PHONY A MILE AWAY.
