#ChicanoOfTheWeek Marcelino Sifuentes of California just received his Masters of Arts degree in Educational Counseling from the University of Redlands. Pictured here with his wife and children as well as with his very proud 83 years-young Madre. In his youth, he was pushed out of high school and to this day does not have a high school diploma. However, he later worked and eventually gained his Associates of Arts degree in History, two Bachelors degrees in both History and Ethnic Studies with an Emphasis in Chicano studies. On top of being a fine scholar, Marcelino is also a master paper cutter of Mexican folk art papel picado on his free-time. He also is a very lucky man as his wife, Michelle Lowery-Sifuentes, was the one to reach out to us for this shout out to her man in his time of triumph.
