CRS is seeking highly qualified candidates for the following position: Position Title: Child-Friendly Spaces Project Officer Location: Gaza Field Office Reports To: Senior Project Officer JOB SUMMARY: CRS is seeking an experienced Project Officer (PO) to lead CRS/Gaza’s Child-Friendly Spaces (CFS) activities under the USAID-funded Civic Participation Program (CPP). The PO will be the one of the primary CPP liaisons with Palestinian partner organizations; respectfully supporting both their capacity development as well as their implementation of CPP awarded sub-grants to implement the Child Friendly Spaces activities. The PO will lead the day-to-day cooperation with local partners and CFS’s site managers and field teams in order to develop and oversee the implementation plan and the quality assurance of the implemented activities. The PO will ensure that CRS and USAID compliancy rules are fully respected during the CFS activities. Based on this work, the PO will provide insight into potential measures to enhance the CFS effectiveness. PPSITION REQUIREMNETS AND QUALIFICATIONS Professional Qualifications - Extensive experience in working for NGO or INGOs on Development fields with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, preferably on USAID-funded projects. - Experience implementing youth programming in the field of psychosocial support or education preferred -Strong cross-cultural skills and experience working with people from different ethnic/cultural backgrounds. - Demonstrated capacities to establish and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with donors, government officials, local organizations, communities and other stakeholders. - High level of English-language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing). -Good writing and reporting skills to a multitude of audience -Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines -Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel) Education University degree in social work, community/international development, or psychology.
