Childhood memories are always sweet and special for all of us. But some childhood incidents remain etched in your memory forever.Going down the memory lane I remember one such incident. I had just taken my Matriculation examination and the “Chillai-Kalan” was at its peak.I was enjoying my vacations with my cousin cum dearest friend who unfortunately expired under mysterious circumstances some months back. One day we wanted to see a movie ‘Sunhera Sansar’ featuring Rajendra Kumar in Khayam theatre but were penniless. An idea struck our minds to make envelopes (used by shopkeepers to give lose eatable items to customers) out of old paper copies.We could barely manage money for Lower-stall and that too for only one person by selling those envelopes.But nonetheless we were determined to see the movie that day.We walked upto Khayam theatre from Rainawari wearing ‘feran’ and carrying ‘kangris’ puffing ‘Delight’ cigrettes :).Since we had money for only one ticket we struck a ‘deal’.We decided each of us will see half of the movie and then we could complete the story by co-relating with each other. Since I was elder to him by 5-6 months I laid my claim to see the 1st half of the movie which he ‘obediently’ agreed to.After the interval my cousin watched the 2nd half of the movie.When the film ended we were so happy and on our way back home we correlated to each other the story of the movie.
