Chinese Man Slices Off Penis, Saying He Had “No Real Use For It’ BY MARIA JESALVA – NOVEMBER 5, 2013 POSTED IN: TRENDING NEWS, WORLD, WORLD NEWS CHINA- Depressed Yang Hu, a worker in a clothing factory from Jiaxing, Zhejiang province in eastern China, chopped off his penis because according to him, “he had no real use for it.” Hu, 26, tired in life for not having a girlfriend because of the long hours he spends at work became desperate and started to believe that he will never love or marry. Out of frustration, and to eventually get his mind off his failures, he decided to do the unthinkable and cut off his penis when he returned home from work last October 27. However, after feeling the excruciating pain and realizing his mistake, he brought himself to the nearest hospital on his bicycle, but left in such a hurry he forgot to bring the severed half of his penis with him. Doctors sent him back to retrieve the other half – back on his bicycle – so they can attempt to re-attach it. Unfortunately, due to the time it took for him to cycle to and from his house, and the loss of blood, doctors were unable save his penis. Hu’s friend said that the victim was depressed after moving to the city, thinking that he could not ever find a girlfriend. He lived and felt alone in his rented room in the city, and doubted he would ever meet a woman because of the long hours he spends at work. Had he been provided with an ambulance, his penis could have been saved, Hu’s friend said.
