Chloe update: negative for strep, flu, ear infections and everything else so far. Next step if she continues high fevers for two more days is lab work to check WBCs. She just gets really fragile neurologically when she runs such high fevers because of her seizure disorder. On top of that she tries to get up and is extremely unsteady and tends to fall and crack her head. Shes exhausted from fevers and seizures, im exhausted from hovering every second being on seizure patrol. Im just gonna put this out there cuz I think its ridiculous that the US cant follow the lead of other countries who provide a caregiver salary to parents like me and many of my friends who find it next to impossible to handle all of these issues AND try to be present, let alone efficient at a full time job in order to provide the necessary care. This is a big reason im making the transition to PRN in less than a month. I feel like im spread so thin right now that I cant do anyone any good. I would post a pic of Chloebugs right now but she is hanging out in naked bliss! Fever is down to 103 for now. Im thinking we have one or two more big spikes in the next 24hrs and probably a few more runs of scary cluster seizures and then hopefully will be on the path to recovery. I have no doubts this is exactly how old people become OLD!
