Christians... Do you separate talent from character? Say a movie - TopicsExpress

Christians... Do you separate talent from character? Say a movie star/musician/athlete is known for being abusive to or cheating on his wife... Would you still celebrate them as your favorite? Or would that character issue make you no longer celebrate that person? Im not talking repentant... this person is flat out cool with their decision... they abuse their wife all the time... or cheat on their wife all the time and have made this public information.... but they are flat out amazing at acting... or sports... or musical compositions/performances.... Could you be a fan of a person and celebrate them knowing that they are okay to beat/cheat on their wife? Another disclaimer: Im not talking speculation... this absolutely known and absolutely unrepentant... but they are absolutely not a believer. Example, not that this is true.... but would Denzel Washington still be awesome in your book if you knew he was cheating on his wife and beating get regularly? Would there be a rush to see his movies? To Netflix them... to cheer as he won awards? I feel like in the past I could... but the older I get I cant separate the two... Im nit saying they cannot be great at what they do... not saying they do not have a voice of intelligence on certain matters... not saying they cannot be an inspiration on work ethic etc... I just cannot celebrate the person:) Am I being too tough on the person or what?
