Christians celebrating Halloween? The entire Halloween theme is one of darkness, death, evil, and fear. Halloween glamorizes witches, ghosts, demons and the dead. If you are a Christian there are only two camps of thought when dealing with this subject. You are either against Halloween or you are for Halloween. There is no middle ground. Isaiah:5:20 says, Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. You might say well I don’t take it seriously. Well God does and so does Satan. Any participation you have in celebrating this dark pagan holiday you risk inviting something demonic into your life that actually hates you and hates God. You open yourself and your child up to invading spirits of rebellion, fear, torment and confusion. Halloween is celebrated by many children in the United States. Halloween is the second most popular holiday celebrated in America following Christmas. I wonder why there is so much rebellion in America? I wonder why there is so much confusion in America? For Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft 1 Sam. 15:23 We as Christians must do our part and separate ourselves from the world and allow Jesus to shine His light through us in this dark world. Instead of dressing up this Halloween stay inside. Instead of passing out candy turn off your light. Pray for all the spiritually blind Christians who are acting like children of Satan on Halloween. If your church is participating in or sponsoring parties for that day speak out against it! Ask your pastor what a celebration of demons, witches and ghosts has to do with the teaching of Christ? Ask him how the celebration of the dead relates to the biblical teaching of the resurrection of Jesus? If you dont have a church and you participate in Halloween and dabble with the dark side of the occult in any of its forms then ask yourself why get involved in evil and darkness? What value does that add to your life? Success for us Christians depends largely on us recognizing the works of Satan and knowing how to defeat and expel him from every situation. Occult involvement whether done innocently or not is disobedience to Gods Word. If you ignore Gods warning and enter into a forbidden demonic realm whether through a celebration or practice you will experience and suffer spiritual consequences. I believe America is suffering the consequences right now. Satan does have supernatural power. The results of celebrating a Satanic holiday like Halloween can be oppression, depression, confusion, delusion, and physical ailments of all sorts. We are warned not to be ignorant of Satans devices in 2 Corinthians 2:11. America glamorizes dabbling in the occult. Everywhere you go you can see occult activity. It is blatant. Psychic and astrologers are using 900 numbers. Occult themes are being worked into many television programs. Talk shows are featuring astrologers, divinatory, clairvoyants, scientologists, Satanists, witches, psychics, crystal gazers, dream analysis, yoga, reincarnations, hypnotists, fortune-tellers, spiritualists, parapsychologists, numerologists and New Agers. Even Disney World is deeply involved in the promotion of the occult. There is nothing harmless about celebrating Halloween. It is an abomination to God. If you are backslidden repent and ask Jesus to restore your spiritual discernment.
