Christmas Morning Blues, or why I detest Bridge Base Online: After twelve attempts to join a table only to get the Error joining table message that says someone else clicked the seat first, I finally get a table sitting fourth seat. LHO opens a spade, partner doubles, RHO redoubles, and Im 4-1-5-3 with AKxxx of diamonds. Certainly worth responding 2D. LHO passes, partner bids 2H. Of course. RHO doubles. Of course. Was partner listening to the auction? I shrug and pass, that being all I can do. Opening lead and BBO shows me that partner had 2-4-2-5 with Qxxx of hearts and QJ10xx of clubs and just opening values. I posted a comment to the table that I refuse to play bridge with anyone who bids like this (probably rude since the opponents had not seen my partners hand yet - like I care). And left the table. Definitely time for coffee and to see if there are any football games on today.
