Christmas is never a time of good cheer in EastEnders – aside - TopicsExpress

Christmas is never a time of good cheer in EastEnders – aside from the lucky few of Albert Square’s residents who aren’t murdered or set on fire or left heartbroken over the festive season for one reason or another – and happily for us viewers, Christmas 2014 is set to be no different… And today, the BBC have released a first-look at pictures of what will happening over Christmas in Walford, which you can see in the gallery below. But will anyone have a happy Christmas in E20? Well, Ronnie and Charlie might, given that they’re together and excited for the birth of their baby, but it seems that’s about it, and the rest of the Square face misery under the mistletoe… The Carter family face one last Christmas with terminally ill Stan – who’s reluctantly set to play the role of Father Christmas – and of course, things are set to get exceptionally dramatic when Linda Carter confesses to husband Mick that she was raped by Dean Wicks. Will Mick murder Dean? But it seems that the revelation about the rape isn’t the only secret set to come spewing out of the can of worms that is the Carter family tree, given that after her mother Sylvie arrives in Walford, Shirley may finally be forced to confess that Mick is in fact her son, and not her brother. What remains to be seen is whether Shirley’s currently imprisoned boyfriend Buster is Mick’s dad. It’s already been revealed that he’s Dean’s. There’s no festive joy on offer for the Beale family either, and Peter is set to struggle with a serious drug addiction over Christmas, and it’s an issue that looks set to rip the family apart as yet more revelations about Lucy’s murder come to light. Tina Carter is also set for a yucky yuletide as her partner Tosh once again turns violent and leaves poor Tina bloodied and bruised after a row. Can the rest of the Carter clan persuade Tina to ditch Tosh for good this time? As to other rocky relationships, Martin Fowler is headed back to Walford in a bid to sort out his relationship with Sonia, but will the couple find that there’s just no going back and that their marriage is over? And if so, will Martin stay in the Square, or will he leave again? Here’s a preview of the show’s the Christmas pictures
