Christopher Banzet, Daylon Hilty, Mike Lee, Damon Barnes, Mark Barron, Jeff Harness, Thomas Gammill, Josh Brown, Chad Smalley, Brandon Gaynor, I dont know if you all recall that time back at Fort Riley, our medic tracks were tasked to drive around the big wigs for a live fire demonstration. I had LTC Fiel and the BCT CDR in my track and I think some of you guys had some other visiting big wigs in your tracks. Then at the end a live round landed next to my track and exploded knocking dirt and debris up on us. Lucky thing it didnt land on top of us! A few years later when I went to PLDC at Fort Sill, I told that story to some guys and they said they were with the company that misfired with that shell that accidentally landed next to us. The whole chain of command got jacked up for that miscue. Anyways, this article reminded me of that incident....
