Church Family and Friends, What an wonderful time we had at the AFC Movie Night! A special thank you to all of you who were able to participate in our Gods Not Dead movie event. The popcorn, the cotton candy, etc... was tasty, the movie was emotionally stirring, and the fellowship was amazing. It was so much fun, we are looking at doing another one soon. If you were not able to attend this movie night, hopefully you will be able to attend the next one. Sundays worship service was all about Living the Difference. In case you missed it... Sermon Notes... Remember what you have ALREADY BEEN TAUGHT. KEEP GROWING and thriving. Spiritual growth steps: Step 1: I recognize a BIBLICAL expectation Step2: I experience discomfort when I become aware of MY NEED TO CHANGE a belief or act on a biblical obligation. Step 3: I must move toward ACTION Step 4: I must make the decision to DO WHATS RIGHT rather than whats easy. Step 5: I must COMMIT to the action. Step 6: I CELEBRATE my courageous move beyond my comfort zone. Step 7: I experience GROWTH and am more easily motivated to take on the next challenge to obedience I encounter in the Bible. Healthy things grow. GROWTH BRINGS CHANGE. BE DIFFERENT, the way things are is broken. Our bodies and souls ARE INTERTWINED. How I think, what I do, how I live- these ARE who I am! Prayer Needs and Praise Reports... - Pastor John will be undergoing exploratory surgery this Friday. Please pray for healthy findings, and for peace and strength for Deb & John. - Kaitlin has begun her teaching job at a new school, please pray for her upcoming school year - Christina Sharff has been feeling better, please continue to pray for healing, and for her brother as he goes though a difficult time. - Millie has asked for spiritual strength and healing from multiple back surgeries. - Barbara Ashers tumor has been shrinking, continue to pray for her and the others who are battling Cancer in our congregation. - We had a great turn out for our movie night, continue to pray for Gods blessing on our church and our outreach efforts. - Pray for God to send us the proper leaders for the children and youth that we have been asking God for.
